Billy Garrison, Gregory Protz, Erin Roland, Tyler Smith and Ashley Mitchell, ValTek, presents a $50,000 donation to Whitney Roland, development director, Midland Children’s Rehabilitation Center.
ValTek, LLC. (ValTek), a leader in the engineering and manufacturing of high-performance hydraulic fracturing pumps, parts and expendables, has donated $50,000 to the Midland Children’s Rehabilitation Center (MCRC), which provides neurological, orthopedic and developmental therapy to children throughout the Permian Basin.
ValTek was awarded $50,000 at the Daniel Energy Partners BBQ Cook-Off in September after being named Grand Champion of the event. The prize money was to be contributed to a charity of the winner’s choice. This is the company’s second consecutive year to be presented with the top award for the best brisket and ribs at the event.
MCRC has a long history of serving children with various diagnoses in the Permian Basin. Their vast range of programs aim to transform children’s lives by improving each child’s capabilities to lead more independent lives as adults. MCRC’s therapeutical programs are offered to families regardless of the ability to pay—the only rehabilitation center in Texas to operate in this manner.
Tyler Smith, general manager, ValTek, said, “ValTek is proud to support MCRC’s mission to provide occupational, physical and speech therapy for local families in the Permian at little to no cost. We are happy to contribute to such an important organization in the community ValTek has called home for more than 40 years. We appreciate the generosity of Daniel Energy Partners in making this donation possible.”
